Our after-school program depends on donations of all kinds from the people in our community. We are dedicated to providing a safe, quiet place for students in kindergarten through 12th grade to enjoy. Take a look at some of the ways you can offer your support to our program.
We hold two community fundraisers per year. The first one is in June: We use this as a chance to let community members know about all the fun our kids have had throughout the year, celebrate the end of the school year, and prepare for the next!
Our second community fundraiser takes place in September. This is an opportunity for us to gather the funds and materials needed to start off the new school year on the right foot. We want to let parents and kids know what they can expect from our program, so newcomers are welcome to come check us out during this event.
We are pleased to accept monetary donations throughout the year. We use the money to purchase all of the materials for our after-school program, so we can provide all of our kids with a wonderful place to spend time with their peers. If you'd like to donate money to the Intelimind after-school program, please contact our fundraising chair, Martha Thomas. She would be more than happy to answer any questions you have about the program.
Food donations are always welcome! We provide our kids with snacks because it's hard to learn on an empty stomach. From cheese and crackers to bottles of juice, we're grateful for food donations from around the community.
School supplies such as paper, pens, pencils, erasers, and other items are also appreciated. If you have any school-related items you think would be helpful to our kids, please let us know.
We have a collection of books available to students who'd like to sit and read after school: Many students read to relax after a busy day. The next time you go through your bookshelves, put aside some appropriate books that may appeal to our kids. We want to provide a varied selection of books to keep them engaged!
If you have food, school supplies, books, or another item you think would be valuable to the kids in our after-school program, please contact our community outreach director, Ben Roberts.
We are grateful for all of the help we receive from the community!
